| The Exploration section of this site offers enhanced functionality through browser plug-ins. If you do not have Shockwave, you can download the latest version for free at the Macromedia web site. Shockwave is compatible with all major hardware platforms and most major Internet applications including Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL, Marimba's Castanet, and Wayfarer's INCISA. Follow the instructions on the Macromedia site to download the Shockwave program. Install Shockwave after downloading the appropriate version for your computer and operating system, follow the installation instructions provided with the installer. For best performance, make sure to follow the suggested memory settings that are displayed when Shockwave is installed. If you are not sure whether you have the latest Shockwave plug-in: Select the Shockwave link anyway. If you are not properly configured you will be alerted and directed to the appropriate URL. QTVR The Exploration section features interactive object movies. To view the pieces, click on the image and drag your mouse pointer over the movie. If your broswer does not have the QTVR plug-in, a dialog box will offer you a direct link to the appropriate download site. Install QTVR after downloading the appropriate version for your computer and operating system, follow the installation instructions provided with the installer. How to Print: This site has been designed using frames technology. In order to print from frames, you need to make sure that you click in the area of the page you wish to print before selecting the Print command in your browser. To print pages with light text on dark backgrounds: Microsoft Internet Explorer (PC): Should work fine with normal settings. If you do experience a problem, try setting the colors in your options (View: Options) to override the web page colors, then restore after printing. Microsoft Internet Explorer (Mac): 1. Go into your Preferences (Edit: Preferences) 2. Click on the "Web Content" category under "Web Browser" 3. Choose the "Allow page to specify colors" option 4. Push the "OK" button and print the page. 5. Repeat process to restore your settings Netscape Navigator or Communicator (PC or Mac): 1. Go into your Preferences (Edit: Preferences) 2. Click on the "Colors" category under "Appearance" 3. Choose the "Always use my colors, overriding page" option 4. Repeat process to restore your settings. |
